Abstract:

Given the increasing demand for electricity and the increasing use of electric appliances in today's societies, there is a need to increase electricity generation as well as reduce transmission line losses, Therefore, the high cost of building and operating spare parts and fuel for power plants requires energy savings, in particular reducing losses and minimizing energy waste; To this end, it is necessary to investigate losses in power network and it is necessary to consider ways to reduce losses and improve voltage profiles to reduce network wastage and thus avoid unnecessary investment in the field; And considering that one of the components of tolls on transmission lines is the inadequate power flow loss, Therefore, in this research (thesis) an effective and efficient method is proposed for optimal distribution of power in the network that simultaneously solves the problem of voltage profile improvement; and to implement first the Optimal Power Flow(OPF), which is a very important tool for power system planning and operation on standard network; and by optimizing the lossfunction and using genetic algorithm which is one of the metaheuristic algorithms and one of the powerful methods; Finding the Absolute Optimal In MATLAB software, which is one of the most applicable simulation software for power systems and power network, the proposed algorithm was implemented on the IEEE 30-bus standard network, and the obtained results obtained with acceptable results
