Abstract:

This research aims to explore how the use of a blog can benefit students’ learning processes difficulties.VOCABLOG Model design to help students with executive functions difficulties. To do the study, using a mixed methoddesign, a group of sixty students including thirty male and thirty female students studying in Tehran, Iran participatedin the study.A pre-test, post-test, ANCOVA test, observation, and interview were used. Four English classes were instructedand the experimental group received vocabulary instructions electronically for one semester using the blogs while thecontrol group was taught vocabularies of their textbook inside the classroom by traditional method. We tested the effectof blog training on executive functions in linguistic domains in these two reading groups. The results revealed that useof blogs became a useful aid to increase speed of processing due to executive functions deficits between male andfemale students in the learning process to become nearly bilingual through blogs and candidate vocabulary, phrasalverbs, idioms, and collocations.
