Abstract:

Background: The research is about issues and problems related to old age and the goal of increasing the quality of life and executive functions and sleep quality of this growing population is one of the most important issues of todaychr('39')s world. Old age issues follow a natural process of body changes. However, psychological factors such as executive functions and quality of life, stress, etc. play an important role. This study aimed at investigating the relationship between executive functions and quality of life based on psychological well-being with respect to the role of personality traits of the elderly with sleep disorders referred to neighborhood house of district 5 of Tehran in 1398. Methods: This study is a descriptive correlational study in which 59 elderly people were selected by purposive sampling and analyzed by statistical tests, that is, regression method and Pearson correlation coefficient. Result: There is a relationship between quality of life, executive function, psychological well-being and personality traits. Psychological well-being and personality traits psychological well-being components can respectively explain 44% and 54% of executive function, and psychological well-being and personality traits psychological well-being variable can explain respectively 25% and 58% of the quality of life. Conclusion: Therefore, by improving the components of psychological well-being and personality traits, we can predict the executive functions and quality of life of the elderly and recommend it to improve the quality of sleep of the elderly.
