The role of nanomaterials on plants growth

The nanomaterial properties and their possible applications are well known in agricultural biotechnology. More studies are required to evaluate the effect of nanomaterials on plant production, and to establish crop improvement nanotechnology applications. By doing this, we provide a short overview of nanomaterials employed in plant science and concisely describe key nanomaterial plant interactions in terms of biological effects. The most important applications in plants are reviewed as well as the potential use of nanomaterials which may open new opportunity for crop production.
