Abstract:
In this study, the adsorption characteristics of reactive dye from aqueous solution were investigated using nanoclay. Batch experiments were conducted to study the effects pH (2–12), adsorbent dosage (0.1–3 g L-1), initial dye concentration (10–60 mg L-1), and contact time (5- 100 min) on dye adsorption. Results reveal that the equilibrium was attained within 80 min having 1 gL-1 nanoclay at pH of 7 and the maximum equilibrium capacity was observed 186.9 mg g-1. The nanoclay adsorbents were highly effective as adsorbents for the removal of reactive dye from aqueous solution
