Abstract:
A water jacket of a Natural gas engine cylinder and cylinder head is analyzed by a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method. The cylinder, cylinder head and water jackets are entirely modeled by a very precise three-dimensional analysis technique to get accurate results. A computer-aided engineering tool is used to carry out the geometry modeling. A computational fluid dynamics commercial code is used to analyze fluid and thermal of water jackets. Validation of the simulation is achieved by comparison between Natural gas engine and diesel engine analysis results. The results of this analysis show high temperature at the valve bridge. Computational fluid dynamics CFD) is used, and the computation results of natural gas engine (converted engine) are) compared with experimental results of an original diesel engine verification
