OPTIMAL MULTIPLE TUNED MASS DAMPERS MTMDS FOR ATTENUATING STRUCTURAL SEISMIC RESPONSE

Tuned mass dampers (TMDs) has been used extensively to improve the seismic behavior of structures and different methods have been proposed for optimal design of TMDs on linear structures . For improving the effectiveness and robustness of TMDs for applying in structural applications multiple tuned mass dampers MTMDs has been proposed which each TMD has different dynamic parameters. in this paper an effective method has been proposed for designing optimal MTMDs for linear structures.
