Abstract:
A new functionalized mesoporous silica entitled SBA-Pr-IS-MN was produced and characterized by diverse techniques like FT-IR, TGA, XRD, SEM, and BET. SBA-Pr-Cl was functionalized with Isatin and Malononitrile to yield SBA-Pr-IS-MN, that its sensor activity was studied by the wide variety of ions (cations and anions) via fluorescent spectroscopy. It was demonstrated that the addition of Ag+ quenched the fluorescence intensity. There was an excellent linear relationship with an appropriate detection limit of 4.18 × 10⁻6 M.
