Earthquake and its effect on engineering structures

In short, before a large earthquake occurs, small erathquakes, commonly known as pre- earthquakes, occur, indicating the activation of tectonic movements in the region. The aftershocks partially release some of the energy stored in the rocks of the area. Also, after large earthquakes occur in one place, a number f small earthquakes occur, known as aftershocks, at intervals different from the main earthquake, usually from a few minutes to several days or several months. Occurs after the main earthquake. Due to the fact that the depth of the epicenter of earthquakes is deffrent and this depth depends on the geological condition of each region that we study.
