Abstract:

To study the effect of different substrates on growth of Ocimum basilicum complet randomized design and 4 replications and 9 treatments . The experimental treatments were including Mycorrhizal fuangi (Glomus intraradiaces) in 2 levels (without inoculation and with inoculation 100 g per a pot), bone powder in 2 levels (non-consume and consume 100g per a pot), vermicompost with animal origin (cow) mixed with peat moss in 3 levels (non- consume, 15% pot an 30% pot volume), chemical fertilizers (1g Nitrogen, 0.5g Phosphor and 0.5g Potassium and the use of peat as a culture medium was used in all pots with 3 levels: 100% pot volume, 85% pot volume and 70% pot volume consumption. The results of analysis of variance showed that the application of different culture media on plant dry weight and Inflorescence weight at the level of one percent was significant. The largest Plant dry weight were found for chemical treatments O, N, M (2.94, 3.89 and 3.56g). In fact, this increase in the performance of organic and biological fertilizers through improving the activity of plant growth regulators and of elements in the soil causes more absorption of nutrients and thus boosts plant growth, which leads to increased performance Ocimum Basilicum.
