Abstract:

Producing high quality and flawless production is among the strategic objectives of food industries, which assists organizations to achieve a proper contribution to the competitive market. However, the exploitation of a maintenance and repair system and the reduction or elimination of unexpected shutdowns play key roles in reaching thisaim. Maintenance and repair of equipment address the planning and activities on the equipment to make it constantly operate for producing goods or providing quality services. This paper investigates the unexpected shutdown of a former machine in Setareh Yakhi Asia (B.A. production group). Initially, the main factors affecting the unexpected shutdown of the machine are determined by depicting the fault tree. These factors include pump failure, plate form closure fault, packing failure, and hardness of food paste. Then, the equations and their correlated effects are analyzed using the fuzzy DEMATEL method. Accordingly, pump failure has maximum interaction. Also, packingfailure, plate form closure problem, and hardness of paste rank the second to fourth in terms of interaction level. Next, these factors are prioritized using the results of the DEMATEL method and the ANP method. Based on the obtained results, packing failure (D) ranks first, and pump failure (C), the hardness of paste (B), and plate form closureproblem (A) rank second to fourth.
