Abstract:

Blocking the growth and multiplication of bacteria is an important action for antimicrobial agents. Many infectious diseases, caused by a variety of pathogens, can be controlled by antimicrobials1. Resistance to antimicrobial agents is increasing rapidly, and, therefore, designing new and potential antimicrobial agents with low risk of toxicity is a crucial issue2. The compounds possessing heterocyclic moieties have attracted much interest due to their biological and medicinal activities3. In the continuation of our research interest in the synthesis of potentially bioactive heterocyclic compounds4, herein, we report evaluation antibacterial and antioxidant activities of novel 2-amino-4H-pyrans that prepared from three-component reaction.
