Protein interactions play an important role in the discovery of protein functions and pathways in biological processes. Changes in the interaction of proteins disrupt normal cellular processes and are involved in many diseases. Interactions between bacteria and the viruses that infect them (i.e., phages) have profound effects on biological processes. Their roles in human health and diseases as well as novel therapeutics development also have been increasingly emphasized. Accurate feature extraction and protein- protein interaction between bacteria and phage prediction is important and may become important for regulations involving phage therapy and in biotechnological applications. The main purpose of this study is to use a machine learning to predict protein-protein interactions between bacteria and phage.
