Abstract:

The wireless sensor network has a number of energy-limited sensor nodes which are distributed in a geographically limited area. One of the important issues in these networks is increasing network lifetime while maintaining the full coverage of network [4]. In this paper, a communication protocol based on LEACH-C protocols and LEA2C is presented. This protocol uses Grading algorithms and sends signals in order to estimate the distance between nodes, with implications for forming a virtual grid. Within each area of the grid, each grid section is considered as the units in the grid area. Each unit includes the sensor nodes which are considered equally in sensing by it and they are called “unit nodes". Thus, by establishing an appropriate timing victor, only one of the unit nodes performs sensing in a specified time interval while the other unit nodes rest in sleep mode in order to help themselves save energy. Using MATLAB software to simulate the results showed that this protocol increases network lifetime more than 10% for the first nodes death and more than 95% for the half nodes death and increases lifetime for the last nodes death more than 100%. Similarly, if the death of half nodes (50 nodes) happens, this protocol will keep more than 88% of the coverage of network and this advantage is very significant compared to other protocols? Keywords
