Factors Affecting on Sexual Health and Family - A Systematic Review

Background: Sexual health is an important and effective indicator of the quality of life andfamily. This study aims to review the factors affecting sexual health and family.Material and Methods: The present study is a systematic review study, the researcher usingthe search for keywords sexual health, quality of life and family in reputable Persian andEnglish databases, PubMed, Scopus Magiran, Database Information Scientific, a web ofScience, Google Scholar from 1395 to 1398, related articles were extracted and after studyingthe titles and abstracts of articles and leaving out unrelated studies, finally 22 articles were usedfor writing.Results: Systematic review of related studies shows the importance of balanced sexual healthin maintaining and promoting the physical and mental health of the individual and family.Factors such as 1) creating a positive attitude towards sexual relations, 2) explaining thedifference between sexual desire between men and women, 3) explaining common sexualduties specific to couples, 4) disciplining sexual relations, 5) avoiding illicit sexual success areeffective in promoting family health. Also, sexual dysfunction can lead to a low quality of lifeby affecting various aspects of life.Conclusions: Considering the impact of sexual dysfunction on various aspects of life and theneed to improve sexual health in improving the quality of life and strengthening the familyfoundation, sex education will play an effective role in family health.
