Fabrication and investigation of solid forms of deferasirox for drug development

In this work, we aimed to develop various solid forms of Deferasirox (an oral iron chelator, DFX) by theco-crystallization technique to study drug solubility development. In the present work, Tartaric acid,Ascorbic acid, and Formic acid were used as co-formers with ratios of (1DFX: 1 co former) and (1DFX: 2 coformer).The developed solid forms, DFX, and co-formers were characterized by Fourier transform infraredspectrometer. Also, the solubility and dissolution of the obtained samples and DFX were studied.
