خلاصه مقاله:
Nowdays the energy -based seismic design as a reliable method is considered. In this paper a methodology is purposed for optimum seismic design of RC frames based on energy concepts for the avoidance of the damage concentration and soft storey formation the hysteretic energy dissipation HED should be distributed along height of the structure uniformly in this regards the uniform distribution of HED is applied as a design acceptance criterion . also the modified park ang damage index is selected as a criterion for the control of structural safety. in this study a three bay six storey RC moment frame is optimized the modified northridge 1994 ground motion record is considered as an earthquake excitation
