Abstract:

Background and purpose: Health-promoting behaviors in female adolescents lead to their well-being and improve their quality of life. Family is an influenced factor in the formation and reinforcement of these behaviors. The present study aimed to determine the influence of intervention based on health-enhancing behavior in female adolescents based on the family participationMaterials and Methods: This quasi-experimental study was conducted on ۶۸ female high schools in Shandiz city in ۲۰۲۰. In the experimental group, the educational intervention was conducted in six sessions that lasted about ۶۰ minutes. For data collection, demographic and HPLP-II questionnaires were given to subjects before the intervention, immediately, and one month after the intervention. the results were analyzed by statistical SPSS-۲۴ software, using independent t-test, Chi-square and descriptive statistics.Results: In the pre-intervention stage, there was no statistically significant difference in terms of the mean total score of health-promoting behaviors in the experimental group and control groups (P=۰.۲۱۹), but immediately and also, one month after the intervention, the mean total score of health-promoting behaviors was significantly different between the experimental and control groups(p <۰.۰۰۱).Conclusion: Family participation is effective in teaching adolescent girls' health-promoting behaviors.
