Abstract:

Introduction: Children with hearing impairments have many problems such as communicating with others, inability to perform daily activities, Disruption of education and social problems . ( ۱ )Meanwhile, mobile applications have played a special role in reducing hearing disorders in recent years due to cost reduction, repetition of a word several times and the ability to constantly accompany and reduce the need for human resources(۲). This article aimed to investigate the use of mobile applications in reducing hearing impairment in recent years.Method: This study is a review study that included both Persian and English language searches in accordance with keywords up to ۳ pages of results. Persian language articles were searched from magiran, ICS, SID, Noormags and Google scholar databases between ۲۰۱۵ to ۲۰۲۰ and from English database like SCOPUS, WEB OF SIENCE, GOOGLE SCHOLAR, SCIENCE DIRECT and PUBMED were also searched from ۲۰۱۵ to ۲۰۲۰. The criterion for entering articles into this study was to access the article or abstract of the article online.Results: Finally, ۷ studies related to the use of mobile applications in hearing disorders were found, which include a wide range from screening to treatment processes. The results of these studies have shown that the use of mobile applications in children with hearing impairments can improve writing and speech problems, improve daily activities and appropriate screening of children for hearing problems.Conclusion :mobile applications are an interesting complement to human resources to reduce hearing problems in children.
