Abstract:

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of English language teaching method through mass Internet communication systems and e-mail on students'learning and speaking skills. The population was ۲۰۰ students of College of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad who had general language courses in theacademic year of ۲۰۱۸-۲۰۱۹. ۱۰۲ students from the mentioned community were selected by available sampling method. Among the selected samples, one group (۳۸ people) was randomly trained through Internet mass communication systems and the other group (۲۶ people) was trained by e-mail. Also, ۳۸ people were trained as control groups in the usual way. In this study, a teacher-made test was used to measure students' learning and the test validity was calculated to be ۸۶% using the Cudder-Richardson (KR = ۲۰) method. Speaking was measured using the Hermans speaking questionnaire. The Hermans report states that the reliability coefficient was ۸۲% by retesting and ۸۴% by Cronbach's alpha. Analysis and analysis of data obtained from the English language test and the scores obtained from the questionnaire, by one-way analysis of variance showed that the teaching method through mass Internet communication systems and email on learning and speaking students in English language course. It has had a positive effect. Also, the Tuki follow-up test showed that the mean changes in the English language test score and the speaking students in the experimental group.
