According to the new environmental regulations in many countries, the maximum amount of sulfur in the fuel is li mited to ۱۰ ppm, to achieve this amount, desulfurization of the fuel is necessary. The oxidative desulfurization process under mild operating conditions can remove resistant sulfur compounds from diesel fuel. In this study, first the modification of the natural zeolite base of ferrierite by base washing method on the performance of catalysts was investigated using this support and then the effect of adding Mo and W promoters supported on ferrierite was evaluated and the structural properties of the catalyst were evaluated. Syntheses were compared using XRD, FTIR and FESEM. Comparison of Ni catalysts supported on ferrierite without modification and modified by base washing method showed that base washing increased the conversion rate from ۷۴.۴% to ۸۶% and with the addition of molybdenum and tungsten promoters the conversion rate increased to ۸۹.۸% and ۹۲.۶%, respectively. Also, the results of the analyzes showed that base washing reduces the crystallinity, increases the porosity, increases the specific surface area and decreases the Si/Al ratio
