Abstract:

A distribution network is one of the important parts of power system that calls for precise control and supervision for optimum operation. Moreover, given the limitation of measuring tools, these networks face the challenge of observability. This paper presented a new monitoring system in the energy management system in the distribution network. In this method, Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) deals with measuring the voltages and currents of the power distribution network. In the first step, an appropriate Phasor measuring -based state estimation method in the distribution network was dealt with to minimize the measurement errors. The second step located the location of installing WSN for observability of the distribution network and continuous observation of power consumption of the buses. In the third step, a new method was presented that modifies the values of the area and re-observes the entire network when the meters fail and observability of an area of the network is lost. All of the above cases were simulated and implemented on the ۳۳-bus IEEE network and the results of the simulation were presented.
