Abstract:

The removal of Copper and Lead from aqueous solution by adsorption on Soy oil waste was studied, as a function of contact time and pH and initial concentration of the solution. Adsorption of Copper and Lead on Soy oil waste was compared. It was shown that Soy oil waste has high metal removal efficiency. The maximum adsorption percentage of Soy oil waste for Copper (initial concentration 300ppm) and Lead (initial concentration 100ppm) were 50-60 % and 90% mg/g, respectively. The adsorption of Copper and Lead Soy oil waste was increased with increase in pH from 1 to 5 and decreased with increase in pH from 5 to 10. The Freundlich model can describe the adsorption equilibrium of Copper and Lead Soy oil waste. The Freundlich constants for adsorption of Copper and Lead on Soy oil waste were determined
