خلاصه مقاله:
I this study, penetration of a piercing projectile into Al۷۰۷۵-xSiCp (x=۳ ,۶, ۹) composite plates will be investigated by finite element (FE) analysis. The simulation of ballistic impact on a thick hexagonal armor was derived in clamped boundary conditions by ABAQUS software. The proposed simulation is verified by observing agreements to those available in the literature. Finally the influence of material properties and velocity of bullet are examined and discussed in detail. An increase in absorbed energy and a further decrease in bullet velocity were observed for ۹% silicon carbide composite. The critical damage zone also increases with increasing percentage of reinforcement
