Abstract:

Considering the coronavirus pandemic and increased mobile learning that is included in modern educational learnings, the present paper intends to look into the acquisition of language skills of primary school first grade students in mobile learning. The adopted approach is qualitatively based and descriptively phenomenological research methodology is used for data collection. The research field is teachers of the first grade school education of Tehran and Isfahan provinces selected with available sampling and achievement of theoretical saturation of individuals. Research tools included structured interviews involving questions about language skills like listening, speaking, reading and writing. The researcher achieved saturation through interview and study of data of eight teachers. MAXQDA software was applied for data analysis and their coding. Research findings refer to four main components of acquiring language skills which are important as to the mobile learning; the components include teachers, parents, mobile learning characteristics and psychological features of students. Each of these components has the sub-contents that represent the features of main components. The result is that the mobile tools contribute to the acquisition of the primary first grade student language skills. It is required that teachers carry out approaches and actions so that language skills of students might be consolidated and mobile learning would be done through mobile tools.
