Abstract:

In this paper, we compare the performance of two systems applying different techniques to implement diversity in the transmitter. Turbo coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) includes two types: space-time block coding (STBC) and space-frequency block coding (SFBC). The receiver that uses this scheme is the successive interference cancellation (SIC) receiver. Finally, we compare the receiver's performance in downlink NOMA for each case (using SFBC and STBC). The results obtained from the simulation show that SFBC has less sensitivity to channel variations than STBC; and SFBC, compared with STBC, boosts system performance.
