Abstract:

The design of multimodal and multidirectional energy harvester (EH) topologies with high-strain zones is one of the most difficult and important challenges faced in driving small electronics and wireless sensor networks. These shortcomings are particularly important due to the use of conventional cantilever beam EHs. Effective structural design is required to overcome these challenges.Three types of array arrangements with different configurations of legs consist of corner, diamond and linear which include symmetric, asymmetric and vertical-horizontal ۳D skeletal structure topologies for energy harvesters are planned and presented in this article. The vibrational behavior of the suggested structures is studied using the finite element method and compared to the corresponding cantilever beam. Also, the electromechanical responses from the above EHs are collected indicating the advantages in more detail. The results suggest that the asymmetric frames can effectively overcome the major EH problems at the same time.
