Herein, the surface of Ni foam (NF) is covered with templated Pd nanoparticles via the galvanic replacement reaction and used for electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol in the alkaline media. The efficiency of templating method is proved with the comparison between electrocatalytic activity of t-Pd/NF and Pd/NF. The excellent results propose t-Pd/NF as an excellent candidate anode for electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol.
