Abstract:

تاریخ روابط فرهنگی و تجاری ایران با کشورهای جنوب شرقی آسیا به پیش از اسلام باز می گردد که رابطه با سیام و سابقه حضور ایرانیان در آن کشور از این جهت در خور توجه و پیگیری است. این نوشتار، گزارش مفصل کریستف مارسینوفسکی در سخنرانی عمومی وی در ۲۰ مارس ۲۰۱۲ در مرکز نالاندا- سریوجایا[i] است؛ و راجع به ایرانیان و شیعیانی است که در دوره صفوی (قرن هفدهم میلادی) آمد و شد به سیام را آغاز کردند و جدای از روابط رسما دیپلماتیک و تجاری در دوره شاه نارای (۱۶۵۶-۱۶۸۸)، نقش خود را در تبلیغ تصوف و امور آموزشی و فرهنگی تثبیت کردند. همچنین، در این مقاله شواهدی در تایید این دعاوی وجود دارد که نشان می دهد ناظران و هیئت های غربی به مشاوران شیعی شاه نارای اشاره می کنند. نویسنده عامل تاریخی اصلی و تعیین کننده در پس تسلط مسلمانان اهل سنت بر شیعیان تایلند را، دوربودن از پیامد «دوره میانی تاریخ ایران» می داند. از دید او، با اینکه این روابط با زوال حکومت صفوی به دست افغان ها از بین رفت، اما شیعیان در دوره پهلوی (۱۹۲۱-۱۹۷۸) این روابط را با تایلند از سر گرفتند. درنتیجه این روابط شماری از سفرا و مردم تایلند به تشیع گرویدند و مراکز فرهنگی ایران در تایلند تاسیس شد.
