خلاصه مقاله:
This study involves the finite element simulation of orthogonal machining of Aluminum ۶۰۶۱ while embedding Johnson-Cook plasticity model. A ۳D model for metal cutting with continues chip formation using finite element ABAQUS/EXPLICIT general code is presented. The Johnson and Cook damage equation is also used to determine chip separation from the main part. The effect of rake angle on machining forces and stress/strain distribution is investigated. The simulation shows that increasing the rake angle results in decreasing the cutting force. It is also deducted that negative rake angle creates a larger high stress field at the vicinity of the tool cutting edge.
