Outsourcing getting more important in today’s competitive business environment. It has vital roleto gain competitive advantage through production strategies, and supplier selection is the significantstrategic decision in case of supply chain management. Sustainability have been one of the mostimportant subject over the last decade, which causes firms take more attention to environmental andsocial norms and balance increasing pressures of market by cooperation with suppliers that have betterenvironmental, economic and social performance. This cooperation would directly affect theirsatiability. Sustainable supplier selection deals with environmental, economic and social criteria.Economic and environmental criteria are mostly mentioned in context while little studies focus on socialcriterion as a one of sustainability dimensions for supplier selection. So, the aim of this paper is toidentify environmental and social criteria for supplier selection and prioritize them using fuzzyDEMATEL-ANP method and finally ranks suppliers based on this criteria using fuzzy VIKOR method.This research is implemented in Iran’s project based organizations as a case study. Environmentalmanagement system, pollution control, health and safety, Local communities influence, green product,resource consumption, green imaginary and human resource management are the identified criteria.This method has no restriction to overcome any issue in case of multi criteria decision making problems.
