Abstract:

The current study evaluated the effect of proactive personality and community propensity to invest in tourism through the mediating role of entrepreneurship self-efficacy among ۱۲۷ residents in Mashhad, Iran. The convenience sampling has been designed to test this relationship. To run the study ۱۴۰ questionnaires have been distributed among the residents which ۱۲۷ have been collected. The results of the study have shown that proactive personality has a positive and significant effect on community propensity to invest in tourism through the mediating role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy. The findings of the study have significant implications for scholar and in practice in which other factors to predict community involvement to invest in tourism requires further studies.
