Abstract:

The most significant purpose of Al۲O۳ nanofluids applying in solar panels is to achieve the highest possible thermal efficiency at the smallest possible concentrations, by homogeneous dispersion and stable suspension. Mostly heat transfer augmentation in solar collectors is one of the key issues in energy-saving and compact designs. In this paper the effect of Al۲O۳ nanoparticles on heat transfer optimization is investigated in calm weather conditions and in the duplicated situation, some other operational materials are overviewed. Previous studies investigated that Al۲O۳ solar panel (using nanofluid) thermal efficiency diagram behaves like a bell curve during the day and the heat transfer rate increased using Al۲O۳ nanofluid. Heat transfer rate increment mostly depends on alumina particles diameter, nanofluid mass concentration, and specific surface area and less depends on the crystallographic structure. Al۲O۳ nanofluid also has a favorable thermal conductivity coefficient which helps solar pales in controlling electro voltaic energy. In conclusion, using nanofluids in solar panel structure enhance solar cell's thermal properties and raise the amount of collected energy
