Abstract:

Nickel oxide antiferromagnetic nanoparticles were prepared by precipitation method. In this method Ni(OH)۲ precursor was calcinated in order to synthesis NiO nanoparticles at different temperatures from ۶۰۰ to ۱۰۰۰ °C. Transmission phase of Ni(OH)۲ to NiO appeared in about ۶۰۰ °C and Ni۲SiO۴ in different mole ratios observed at the range of ۹۰۰ until ۱۰۰۰ °C. In order to optimize the size of particles in this work, we investigated the effects of different mole ratios Ni/Si ( ۱, ۱.۰۵, ۱.۱۵ and ۱.۲۴) and calcination temperatures on the size of particles. The SEM and TEM images showed the morphology, shape, size and size distribution of nanoparticles in SiOR۲R matrix. The size of NiO nanoparticles were measured ۳nm. The different phases, structures of samples and theapproximate size of the nanoparticles were obtained by XRD patterns. Magnetic properties of samples were carried out by a vibration sample Magnetometer.
