Recently there has been a strong interest in utilizing high-gain directional antennas for both transmission and reception in wireless ad hoc networks. Different MAC layer protocols have been proposed in the literature to be used in ad hoc networks with directional antennas. In this paper, a new MAC layer protocol is proposed which is based on CDMA. Simulation results show that the proposed solution can dramatically improve the throughput of the network.
