The Effect of Aqueous Extracts of Aerial Parts of Cressa cretia L. on Germination of Some Weeds

Many plants characterize with their allelopathy effects. Creassa critica is one of famous halophytes which has many chemicals that can limit growth many plants. Its aqueous extract that prepared from aerial parted studied in five concentration (۵,۱۰,۲۵,۵۰ and ۱۰۰) %on germination seeds of Convolvulus arvensis, Malva parvifola and Avena fatua. Results showed that C. cretia decrease germination rate of each studied weeds and the M. parvifola was the sensitive one. High extract concentrations prevent studied weeds germination, thus can used such extracts as safety, environmental friend, and cheap herbicides.
