Abstract:
Aeolian features are the result of wind dynamics. The landforms on the detachment and transportation regions are reflect of characteristics of land such as vegetation cover, surface sediment, runoff and local topography. The Khartouran region in the north eastern Iran with an area of ۳۷۰۰۰۰ ha and geoecology structure occupies an especial place in the arid region of the closed basin of Dasht-e-Kavir. The result of aeolian processes is a sand accumulation area (Erg) with an area of about ۱۷۰۰۰۰ ha in this region. In this study, erosional landforms of aeolian process were studied based on ground indicators of wind activity (deflation and abrasion). The results showed that in the region, the deflation criterion has three indicators and the abrasion criterion has two indicators.
