Abstract:

In this study, The exergy analysis of Shazand power plant’s boiler is presented. The aim of this study is to use energy and exergy analysis to identify the locations and magnitudes of losses in order to maximize the performance of a boiler.The results indicate that about 48 % of heat energy generated in the boiler is destroyed. Also results, show that the major irreversibilities are due to losses Furnace system. That ensue, combustion process is The most effective factor in irreversibilty of boiler.
