Abstract:

This paper presents a new robust controller for regulating the power system frequency by using Electrical Vehicle (EV) aggregators. The robust controller is obtained by using the state feedback theory in which the robust performance and stability will be satisfied. The performance and the stability problem considering time delay are formulated as Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). Then, by solving LMIs, the state feedback controller is obtained. Next, the participation coefficients for EVs, both the primary and the secondary, are optimized by using the Teaching Learning Based Optimization (TLBO) algorithm.Simulation results on two power systems show the effectiveness of the designed controller
