Abstract:

Wireless sensor networks have important usages in the scientific, medical, commercial, and military areas. Additionally, their application is significant in medicine. In recent years, the wireless body area networks (WBAN) has been developed as a new technology for healthcare applications. WBAN technology comes with challenges that include; Security threats in medical applications and the dangerous conditions that may be created for the patient. Therefore, the use of robust security mechanisms at WBAN is essential. Various cryptographic algorithms have been used to provide security and privacy of information in physical wireless sensor networks. In this paper, the combined use of encryption advance standard (AES) encryption algorithms and signatures based on chaos theory and hash function are proposed to increase security and accuracy. The proposed method is robust against Sybil and Spoofing attacks, and the accuracy of the proposed method is better in identifying message authenticity and restricting invalid senders than previous methods.
