Abstract:
Given the importance of using lead in the industry, statistics show that about ۸۰% of all produced lead in the world is consumed in lead-acid batteries. On the other hand, the lead in discarded batteries is a dangerous substance that is very harmful to the environment and it is illegal to be left around the cities. The purpose of this research is to manufacture an apparatus that can re-enter the waste material of the battery factory into the recycling cycle and separate the ingredient lead and prevent its loss. In this method, the waste of the battery plant, which contains lead, is put into the device and the lead is separated according to the differences between the densities of the lead and other waste materials. It is performed by designing a wind tunnel and suction tornado. The recycled particles can be melted and turned into ingots. Investigations and economic calculations revealed that with the construction of an industrial unit in which recycling operations could be carried out with this apparatus, the return on investment (ROI) would be between ۶ to ۷ months which is highly feasible.
