Abstract:

Regarding the benefits provided for organizations by Knowledge Management (KM), they need KM Implementation (KMI) to use the benefits. It should be paid attention that almost all projects, including KMI project in an organization, are affected by some risks and uncertainties on the way to achieve their goals. Therefore, Risk Management (RM) plays a crucial role in all projects, including the mentioned project. Considering the changes in organizations resulted from the Coronavirus (COVID-۱۹) Pandemic (CP), the necessity to manage the risks specifically caused by this situation is easily sensible. Accordingly, this paper aims to deal with RM of KMI project in an organization, concentrating on the risks particularly caused by the CP. In this article, the Wiig model for KMI, adding project approach to it, is utilized in studying KMI project in an organization. Moreover, PMBOK ۲۰۱۷ standard is used as a guide for how to perform RM of that project. On top of that, this paper has conducted a case study on "Dena Holding", as an Iranian organization, identifying and analyzing the new risks of KMI project in that organization specifically caused by the CP. Furthermore, the responding strategy and actions regarding each of the risks have been determined. Doing these has made it possible to notice the potential effects of the CP on the project under study. Over and above that, it has been figured out that the project manager of the studied project should have an active approach to "Project Risk Management (PRM)" in this situation. For doing so, the project manager, paying special attention to PRM, should try hard to minimize the negative consequences of the threats and maximize the positive consequences of the project's opportunities.
