The atlas includes ۳۸ maps and schemes on geology, geophysics and seismology. The choice of materials is based on the requirements of compiling maps of seismic zonation, geodynamic test-grounds, etc. The main scale of the maps is ۱:۵۰۰۰۰۰ or ۱:۲۰۰۰۰۰, and the scale of the schemes is ۱:۱۰۰۰۰۰۰ or۱.۲۵۰۰۰۰۰. It is the first attempt at generalization of various available materials. The atlas consists of ۵ sections.
