AN INTELLIGENT PROCEDURE FOR DETERMINING SEISMIC DESIGN SPECTRUM PARAMETERS FROM ASSESSED INTENSITY

Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), models of computation are based on mathematical models of neural processes. In this paper, an ANN is explored to establish the corre-sponding relationship of seismic intensity versus aseismic design spectrum parameters in-stead of the conventional statistical method. Comparisons of the results of the ANN with those of actual spectra are presented. The effects of Magnitude and / or Distance on seismic and design spectrum parameters are also discussed.
