enhanced full expansion compression method for fast IP address lookup with minimum memory consumption

speed of routers is the main bottleneck for fast internet communications a high-speed IP address lookup engine with a reasonable memory cost is a key factor for designing a fast router this paper proposes a solution that performs each IP address lookup in only three memory accesses with very low amount of memory requirementour method is an enhancement on full expansion compression FEC method that we refer to it as EFEC enhanced full expansion compression.
