Abstract:
The present study aimed at examining the role of supervisors at English language schools. To this end, a researcher made questionnaire was designed based on the roles and the kind of interaction supervisors have at institutes. It was validated by two experts in the field, also its reliability, using Cronbach's Alpha, was estimated to be (.۹۰۶). The questionnaire was administered to ۵۰ EFL teachers of English working in different language schools. As for the qualitative means of gathering data, two open-ended questions were added to the end of the questionnaire to which ۱۰ teachers were asked to reply. For measuring the probable relation, Chi Square test as well as cross tabulation were run through SPSS۱۶ for analysis of the obtained data. The results exhibited a significant relation and it was proved that supervisors mainly foster teacher development at institutes.
