Three types of common energy resources used throughout the world can be classified into fossil, nuclear andrenewable resources which fossil resources are known as the main energy resources. However, fossil fuels can bringabout negative environmental consequences. Therefore, it is realistically essential for economic development to accessnew resources. In Iran, growing need for energy and also the reduction of fossil fuel resources leads to take renewableresources into consideration as a practical alternative. Suitable conditions in most regions make Iran a perfect place toutilize renewable energy. However, statistics show that the share of renewable energy in Iran is less than ۱%. The studyof energy resources in the Sistan and Baluchestan province confirms that the continuation of the current consumption offossil fuels will cause more environmental, economic and social problems and also this situation cannot lead tosustainable development of the province. In this paper, upstream documents, laws and regulations, as well as existingregulations which can accelerate the development of renewable sources in Sistan and Baluchestan province, arediscussed. As the conclusion renewable resource laws are investigated in order to verify desirable laws, laws that needto be amended, and laws that need to be developed to facilitate the growing of renewable resources in the province.
