A low-cost hybrid aqueous supercapacitor with a high working voltage, energy density and good cyclic stability is fabricated with a facile method. The electrodes of the supercapacitor are made of self-doped polyaniline/carbonized polyaniline (SDPA/CSDPA) nanocomposite. It has been electrodeposited on CSDPA using a reverse normal pulse voltammetry (RNPV). Morphology and structure of the obtained nanocomposite have been studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The electrochemical performances of the as-fabricated supercapacitor (SC) (CSDPA)//(SDPA/CSDPA) are investigated with different electrochemical methods including galvanostatic charge/discharge (GCD) and cyclic voltammetry (CV). Based on the obtained results, the system shows high specific capacitance, specific energy and specific power ۶۴۰ F g-۱, ۲۹.۸۷ Wh kg-۱, ۸۷۰ W kg-۱, respectively, over a wide operating voltage window with low equivalent series resistance (ESR) ۰.۶ Ω cm۲.
