خلاصه مقاله:
After drilling a well, it must be properly completed before it can be put into operation. The most basic process of completing the well can be summarized as: Ensuring the efficiency of the completed well and its economic and safety issues along with the effective factors in designing the type and equipment required for the well completion process, like the depth of the well, Production flow rate and production mechanisms from the reservoir, The number of production zones, the type of production from the reservoir in the well column). In addition to the selection of methods for the well completion process, selection of flow paths and their sizes is important. Although there are many different methods to complete the well, but the most efficient method is the method that maximizes production flow and minimize capital and operating costs. In this paper, the three methods of completing gas wells and their technical and economic aspects had been studied while introducing the challenges of gas lift process for gas wells. These three methods are well completion using ۷-inch tubing which is called Mono bore, big bore and the optimized big bore. Common types of well completion methods and their applications in production tubing’s tool set in Iran, Qatar and oil and gas wells were discussed in this paper. The results showed that drilling wells with larger diameters, due to higher production rates and the need to drill fewer wells, significantly reduces field development costs. In fact, optimizing wells with larger diameters can be considered as suitable options for completing gas wells. It’s recommended that to be used appropriate completion string with perfect knowledge of geology and some issues such as proximity to residential areas, type of the well (production or injection), low reservoir pressure and some other significant issues.
