Abstract:
Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS) shows its commitment to the environment by creating safe operating conditions by following the rules and technical requirements and preventing environmental and safety consequences. The importance of environmental risk management is considered as an effective tool to prevent damage to the environment and achieve a healthy environment in the integrity management system. The main purpose of this study is to introduce the principles of establishing the integrity management system of oil and gas transmission pipelines with an environmental risk management approach in accordance with API ۱۱۶۰ and ASME B۳۱.۸s standards. that can support the management process implementation, maintenance, review and continuous improvement; and Ultimately, it leads to improved organizational efficiency, increased pipeline reliability, and protection of employees and the environment.The environmental risk management process consists of identifying potential threats, assessing the risk associated with those threats using an indexing system, and performing control measures for planning and, monitoring.
